Quality Engineering TEAM
Quality Engineering team in Middle & Large Business manages Quality governance, QE Metric, Tools and perform E2E testing across major applications
We are looking for Interns who are up to the challenge of learning and leveraging testing tools and processes to help innovate new ways of working. The ideal candidates have a strong desire to build strong technical and customer facing skills.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Help design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases.
• Detect software defects and report them using issue tracking systems.
• Work closely with developers to understand software requirements and functionalities.
• Gain hands-on experience with manual and automated testing tools.
• Work closely with experienced engineers and receive guidance.
• Develop simple automated test scripts using Github copilot assistance
• Create and maintain documentation for testing procedures and results.
• Suggest improvements to enhance software quality and testing processes.
COMPETENCIES & SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Self-motivated with mature, professional, and ethical conduct
• Excellent communicator, oral and written
• Eager to learn new things and apply the information quickly to different situations
• Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships
• Strong Analytical and problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
• Team oriented, collaborative and willing to accept feedback
• Effective time management and prioritization skills
• Basic understanding/knowledge of programming languages (e.g. Java, Python)
• Have some basic understanding of software development principles.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
• Technology focused curriculum preferred
• Teacher Recommendations preferred
• Engagement and leadership in school clubs, extracurricular activities, community or volunteer enrichment events preferred
LOCATION OF INTERNSHIP:
• 1 Hartford Plaza Hartford, CT
o Virtual / Remote Work & Onsite
WORKING TIME / SCHEDULE
• Monday - Friday, 20 hours. (Position is Part-Time, Temporary)
• Internship starts mid-June and runs through mid-August
• Working hours vary, typically 8:30AM - 5PM
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS / CONSIDERATIONS:
• Reliable Transportation (for on-site work, if required)
• Must satisfy employment eligibility requirements as established by The State of Connecticut and pass required back-ground checks.
Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
