The ITAM Manager will lead the IT Asset Management (ITAM) teams in key process and operational activities across IT Service Management. This role is responsible for overseeing process and systems implementation, continuous improvement, meeting, exceeding, and improving service management metrics, and supporting reporting requirements. The ITAM Manager will be responsible for leading the enterprise-level ITAM program, which demands exceptional leadership, communication, and influencing skills. This role includes HR responsibilities such as managing and coaching a high-performing team, evaluating performance, and providing professional guidance.

This role will have a Hybrid work arrangement, with the expectation of working in an office location (3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday).

Responsibilities:

Manage and coach a high-performing team that exhibits high levels of proficiency across core competencies and core Hartford behaviors.

  • Empower direct reports and take ownership of each process to establish responsibility.
  • Ensure appropriate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are measured and reported on.
  • Promote the Service Management vision to direct reports and attend department meetings to assess the impact of organizational decisions on the Service Management environment.
  • Execute departmental budget plans and conduct process audits, escalating any breaches to the appropriate management.
  • Provide process and/or supporting tool enhancement recommendations and ensure appropriate staff training.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, Business, or a related discipline, and 8+ years of work experience in a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL Service Management best practices. Practitioner Level ITIL Service Management Certification preferred.
  • A leader, directly accountable for instructing, assigning, supporting, and assuring the completion of work for the resources within their section/department.
  • Strategic Thinker: Skilled in strategic planning, process analysis, and executing architecture-based solutions like Cloud, SaaS, and open-source frameworks
  • Agile Practitioner: Experience with agile or scrum methodologies.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • AI Enthusiast: Experience with Gen AI solutions is a plus.
  • Experience leading a critical ITAM program to meet NYDFS regulations, including establishing an ITAM Governance Board to oversee enterprise asset management policies, standards, roles, and responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of NYDFS Regulation 500.13 and its implications for IT asset management.
  • Ability to manage compliance and audits, ensuring adherence to software licenses and legal rules.
  • Strong financial acumen and project management abilities.

Candidate must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship. The company will not support the STEM OPT I-983 Training Plan endorsement for this position.

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

$120,800 - $181,200
