As an Associate Claims Representative for all business lines, you're at the front lines for our customer. Your primary role is to investigate and manage claim files to help individuals and businesses prevail after a claim. The Hartford will provide you with 7 weeks of paid training, as well as ongoing coaching and development to ensure your success.
AS AN ASSOCIATE CLAIMS REPRSENTATIVE, YOU'LL

  • Utilize active listening and critical thinking skills to quickly analyze and clearly understand a specific request or customer need, and then leverage knowledge and resources to provide the appropriate solutions.
  • Take ownership to ensure that we go above and beyond to service each caller's needs, utilizing every touch point as an opportunity to build value and The Hartford brand.
  • Commit to learning and developing, including a better understanding of Hartford products and business lines, both as an individual and as part of the group.
  • Act as a liaison with other departments to revolve problems.
  • Operate under the mindset of The Hartford's Behaviors: Deliver Outcomes, Operate as a Team Player, Build Strong Partnerships and Strive for Excellence.

WHO YOU ARE:

  • You're a good listener and find motivation in helping others.
  • You have a passion for customer service.
  • You're attracted to work experiences that expose you to wide variety of situations and can handle any situation with confidence, poise and professionalism.
  • You possess exceptional problem solving and critical thinking skills and have a strong attention to detail.
  • You use excellent verbal and written communication skills (bilingual - Spanish/English is a plus) to develop and enhance strong impactful customer relationships.
  • You're flexible and willing to learn, lead, be lead, all while supporting others
  • You have your Associate's degree and a minimum of 2 years of customer service experience. A Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

$45,520 - $68,280
