Overview of the Role: Hartford Funds is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented individual to join the Reporting and Data Team. This role will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting financial data to support decision-making and improve operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, the ability to communicate complex data insights effectively, and prior experience in the preparation and review of financial statements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, interpret, and analyze financial data from various sources.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support decision-making processes.
- Work closely with finance team leads to assist in contextualizing financial data points for presentation to leadership.
- Perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements.
- Cultivate relationships with internal stakeholders to stay informed of key changes impacting the financial outlook of the firm.
- Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and dashboards.
- Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results against budget and forecasts.
- Provide analysis of trends and forecasts to recommend actions for optimization.
- Undertake special projects and additional tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in the financial services industry. Progress towards a CPA or public accounting experience a plus.
- Experience with Accounting as well as financial planning and analysis (FP&A) processes.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Highly flexible with the ability to manage multiple ongoing deliverables and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Anaplan, etc).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
$70,000 - $90,000
