Position Overview: Hartford Funds has an opportunity for a customer-centric individual who is interested in joining a data-focused team supporting an enterprise data warehouse. The candidate for this role will need a technical foundation with an understanding of how data applies to business operations. This individual will draw on their experience to improve processes and find actionable insights for operational and strategic decision making. Acting as a team player, the individual in the role will use their strong communications skills in everyday interaction with other analysts and various areas of the business. Most importantly, the incumbent in the role must have a strong sense of ownership and can quickly act when issues arise.

Responsibilities:
- Management and responsible for data validation queue.
- Monitor and manage data exceptions and validation alerts.
- Develop new controls based on analysis and feedback from business partners.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement and/or correction.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Collaborate with business partners to understand data needs and provide insights to support strategic initiatives.
- Present findings and recommendations to IT management and other stakeholders.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity by performing regular data audits and validation.
- Work with vendors and/or internal systems to improve quality and timeliness of data.
- Support the development and implementation of data-driven sales strategies.
Qualifications:
- 3 - 5 years' experience in a Data Analyst role.
- Bachelor's degree (preferably in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science).
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst, preferably in the finance industry.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills with a customer centric focus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
- Ability to obtain a good understanding of the business context of a problem to ensure the solution is optimal in solving the business need
- Must be comfortable/excited working in a fast-paced, high impact environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
- Knowledge of financial products and services.
- Advanced statistical analysis skills.
Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
$80,000 - $110,000
