Customer Research Analyst - Group Benefits

ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

As a Customer Research Analyst, you will support the Group Benefits organization by assisting with research projects and providing valuable insights. Working with our Enterprise research team, you will help inform our Group Benefits products, services, value propositions, and customer experiences by delivering actionable voice-of-customer insights.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As the Senior Specialist of Group Benefits Customer Research you will:

  • Manage the secondary research function for the Group Benefits organization through both internal resources and confidential industry benchmarking reports and information.
  • Assist in designing, managing, and analyzing primary research projects focused on HR benefits decision-makers, employees, and producers, utilizing both qualitative and quantitative methods.
  • Act as a liaison between business clients, external vendors, and the customer research team to ensure the delivery of insightful and actionable research.
  • Promote a customer-centric mindset, driving customer value through innovation and enhancing customer experiences with data and insights.
  • Assist the research team in utilizing insights to influence business partner strategies and decision-making.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Some direct experience in primary market research, either on the client or vendor side, including roles in research, advertising, or innovation firms.
  • Familiarity with insurance and/or financial services marketing research is a plus.
  • Proficiency in designing, executing, and analyzing primary quantitative and qualitative marketing research, including questionnaire development, methodology selection, and data analysis.
  • Good verbal, written, and presentation communication skills, capable of delivering research information and insights to various audiences and leadership levels.
  • Experience using software such as Excel, SPSS, and/or Qualtrics for data analysis.
  • Ability to work effectively within a diverse team and build cooperative, productive relationships with research team members, internal business partners, and suppliers.
  • Creative thinker and problem solver, well-organized, and extremely detail-oriented. Effective project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple assignments and adapt to changing priorities. Intrinsically motivated to act with a sense of urgency.
  • Bachelor's degree required.

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

$82,080 - $123,120
