FUNCTIONAL TEAM
The ITSEO area handles many important tasks, like improving how well our business applications work and making them user-friendly. The team collaborates with developers, infrastructure, database, and middleware teams to ensure everything runs smoothly. We use several tools to monitor and log our progress, such as Dynatrace, LoadRunner, Splunk, BMC Truesight, Grafana, AWS Cloudwatch, and others.
We are looking for an intern who is excited to learn about these processes and tools and help us find new ways to work better. The ideal intern is organized, a good problem solver, and eager to find solutions. As a Performance Engineering intern, you will join a high-performing team that supports various service tower teams within the CTO.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist in monitoring application performance trends (cloud & on-Prem) and identifying opportunities to improve performance and/or availability
• Assist in facilitating team meetings and capturing action items
• Focus on Agile software development and DevOps and, demonstrate outstanding communication, flexibility, teamwork and leadership

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
• Technology focused curriculum preferred
• Teacher Recommendations preferred
• Engagement and leadership in school clubs, extracurricular activities, community, or volunteer enrichment events preferred
LOCATION OF INTERNSHIP:
• 1120 S. Tryon St. in the Vantage East Tower , CLT
o Virtual / Remote Work & Onsite
WORKING TIME / SCHEDULE
• Monday - Friday, 20 hours. (Position is Part-Time, Temporary)
• Internship starts mid-June and runs through mid-August
• Working hours vary, typically 8:30AM - 5PM
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS / CONSIDERATIONS:
• Reliable Transportation (for on-site work, if required)
• Must satisfy employment eligibility requirements as established by The State of NC and pass required back-ground checks.
Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
