Key Responsibilities:
• Handle to resolution auto property damage and auto bodily injury claims of low to medium exposure. Responsibilities include making coverage determinations, conducting liability investigations, and negotiating settlements with repped and non-repped claimants.
• Provide exceptional customer service by establishing and maintaining effective relationships with customers through adherence to The Hartford's standards of communication.
• Ability to make decisions with the customer at the center of everything we do.
• Utilize critical thinking skills to gather and analyze information and data to make sound decisions.
• Continually evaluate self against performance targets and strive to exceed expectations.

Qualifications:
• Experience adjusting auto physical damage claims with a minimum of one year (required). Experience handling auto bodily injury claims and familiar with handling claims with or without attorneys preferred.
• College degree preferred and/or 2+ years of related customer service experience.

Additional Information:
Start date: April 7, 2025
Work hours: After the completion of training, this role will support our customers in Eastern time zones and will be expected to work corresponding Core Business Hours based on the time zones of the states you are assigned to handle.
Training: 4-6 weeks, (Paid Training)
Travel for training: Training from 05/05-05/16 you will be required to travel (paid by The Hartford) to Connecticut for learning lab.

• You will be required to successfully complete a multi-week New Hire Training Curriculum. You should have no schedule conflicts during training.
• Furniture is not provided for remote work; it is necessary to have a designated area that is quiet and ergonomically acceptable for typing and talking on the phone.
• This role can have a Hybrid or Remote work arrangement. Candidates who live near one of our offices (Hartford, CT, Lake Mary, FL, San Antonio, TX, Naperville, IL) will have the expectation of working in an office 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday). Candidates who do not live near an office will have a remote work arrangement, with the expectation of coming into an office as business needs arise. Only requirement is you agree to work the necessary core hours based on the time zones of the States that you are assigned to handle.
• Travel Requirements: As part of the multi-week new hire training program, you may be required to travel for two (2) weeks for learning lab - which will be in Hartford, CT.

As a condition of your employment, you must obtain and maintain a State Adjuster's License to process Property & Casualty Insurance Claims in the states supported by your office. Continued employment with The Hartford is contingent upon the successful passage of the Licensing exam(s) within 30 business days from the completion of the licensing training.

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

$52,880 - $79,320
