We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to support the Personal Insurance customer engagement strategy through working with business partners, gathering business requirements, working with external partners, analyzing reported issues, as well as working closely with developers and testers to ensure business expectations are met.
Successful candidates will be expected to demonstrate strong leadership skills, ability to partner with business and IT stakeholders and associated agile team. In addition, candidates are expected to demonstrate solid business acumen as well as deliver feature and user story refinement in an agile methodology.

This role will have a Hybrid work arrangement, with the expectation of working in an office location 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday).
Responsibilities:
- Participate in gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements.
- Organize and synthesize information from stakeholders to enable the project team to implement solutions that meet expectations.
- Structure and drive working and informational sessions that promote collaboration, achieve synergy, and desired outcomes.
- Act as a liaison between the business and IT, translating business needs into functional and non-functional IT requirements.
- Drive and coordinate with multiple teams on business requirement implementation.
- Explain Hartford products and engagement workflows, and provide demos of existing and newly created assets.
- Analyze issues reported by partners and facilitate discussions with business and IT to resolve them.
- Proactively identify requirement gaps and work with product owners to address them.
- Aid team members in requirements solicitation by selecting approaches and identifying gaps/areas to explore.
- Mentor team members to raise awareness of new approaches and improve execution of known techniques.
- Adjust facilitation techniques on the fly to ensure effectiveness.
- Create and maintain appropriate documentation, review it with business and IT stakeholders, and ensure continued relevancy of documentation as enhancements are made.
- Challenge teams for continuous improvement ideas and support the agile team during sprints, testing, and production implementation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a Business Analyst function.
- A minimum of two years of relevant business experience; a deep understanding of Personal Insurance is preferred.
- Experience working in an Agile or SAFe program environment is preferred.
- Proven organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present confidently in group settings and communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Proven ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and build strong relationships across an organization.
- Exceptional Critical thinking skills, including the ability to lead analysis, root cause problem solve, develop business recommendations and influence outcomes.
- Experienced facilitator with strong presentation skills.
- Proven analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Candidate must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship. The company will not support the STEM OPT I-983 Training Plan endorsement for this position.
Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
$82,400 - $123,600
