Key Responsibilities:

Research and Analysis:

  • Conduct comprehensive research on public policy, best practices, and regulatory compliance.
  • Utilize data analysis to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement across various agency business units and functions.
  • Prepare detailed reports and compelling presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to senior leadership.

Policy Development:

  • Assist in creating and implementing innovative policies and procedures that comply with state regulations and support the agency's goals of affordability, competitiveness, and equity.
  • Evaluate the impact of existing policies and recommend adjustments to enhance their effectiveness.

Coordination and Oversight:

  • Monitor the activities and performance of different agency units
  • Ensure cohesive and aligned operations across all units to achieve the agency's strategic objectives.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between units.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Act as a liaison with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors, contractors, public interest groups, and other government agencies.
  • Support stakeholder meetings and ensure clear communication of agency policies and procedures.
  • Help manage and nurture relationships with key stakeholders to support agency goals.

Project Management:

  • Assist the Chief Operating Officer in managing special projects and strategic initiatives.
  • Track project progress, identify potential challenges, and propose practical solutions.
  • Coordinate project activities to ensure timely and successful completion.

Qualifications

First consideration will be given to those applicants that apply within the first 14 days.

MINIMUM ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must have at least (A) three years of full time, or equivalent part-time, professional, administrative or managerial experience in business administration, business management or public administration the major duties of which involved program management, program administration, program coordination, program planning and/or program analysis, or (B) any equivalent combination of the required experience and the substitutions below.

Substitutions:

I. A Bachelor's degree with a major in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for a maximum of two years of the-required experience.

II. A Graduate degree with a major in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for the required experience.


III. A Bachelor's or higher degree with a major other than in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the required experience.

Education toward such a degree will be prorated on the basis of the proportion of the requirements actually completed.
