Position Summary
The Senior Director of the Program Management Office (PMO) is a vital member of the Registry of Motor Vehicles (RMV) leadership team. The Senior Director is charged with leading the RMV PMO team of professionals responsible for driving successful implementation of federal and state regulatory compliance, business service delivery contracts, policy changes and business process improvement efforts throughout the agency. The Senior Director, a member of the Registrar's Senior Staff, is responsible to the Registrar and works to ensure the priorities of the RMV and MassDOT are reflected in the priority of programs and projects managed by the RMV PMO on an annual basis. The Senior Director maintains close relationships with RMV senior staff leaders, the MassDOT IT PMO, MassDOT PMO as well as key business leaders in MassDOT Enterprise Services. With the Registrar's and Chief Operating Officer concurrence, the Senior Director has final say on the projects undertaken by the RMV PMO, the resources allocated to those projects, the development of project goals, and the design of the project methodology. The Senior Director is responsible for working in collaboration with the MassDOT IT PMO, MassDOT PMO and RMV departments.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop, publish and maintain Fiscal Year RMV program priority list. Oversee and develop strategic projects to support the mission of the RMV and MassDOT; partner with internal and external stakeholders and business leaders to develop PMO projects that are aligned with meeting federal and state regulatory compliance, addressing enterprise risk management, RMV business service delivery and operational needs.
- Deploy RMV team members to projects (and collaborate with MassDOT IT PMO and MassDOT PMO for enterprise resources needed) and assist in the creation of project plans; create long- and short-term project plans, including setting project scope, milestones, and deadlines.

- Oversee project planning, coordination and execution while helping to remove impediments and elevate as necessary; serves as primary contact and project lead; determine appropriate course of action when presented with multiple options.
- Advise the Registrar / Chief Operating Officer /Chief of Staff of opportunities for PMO intervention; represent the RMV at project meetings; effectively communicate with stakeholders and leadership regarding project updates, goals and potential impediments.
- Direct, mentor and develop RMV PMO staff and adjust schedules and meetings, provide up to date data reports, relay relevant communications and updates.

Applicants must have at least (A) seven (7) years of full-time or, equivalent part-time, professional, administrative, supervisory, or managerial experience in business administration, business management, public administration, public management, clinical administration or clinical management of which (B) at least three (3) years must have been in a managerial capacity.
