PURPOSE OF THE JOB

  • To support the Director of Economic Inclusion and Executive Director in monitoring the BabySteps Savings Plan and the design and execution of the evaluation of the SNAP Into BabySteps program.
  • To work with the Director of Economic Inclusion on the evaluation of the Strategies to Increase Enrollment of Families with Low income and Communities of Color in BabySteps in Lynn, MA RFP ("BabySteps-Lynn RFP").
  • To work with the Director of Economic Inclusion on the design and execution of evaluation plans for OEE programs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide program evaluation support needed to OEE programs and work with Program Managers on identifying program goals and corresponding metrics.
  • Process and analyze data related to the BabySteps Savings Plan and the SNAP Into BabySteps programs.
  • Work with the Director of Economic Inclusion on drafting a plan for the evaluation of SNAP Into BabySteps and any related documents, such as MOUs, grant applications, and client facing material.
  • Research topics related to CSA programs and provide briefs to support the development of an evaluation plan for the SNAP Into BabySteps Program and the application for a grant to fund the evaluation.
  • Support the BabySteps-Lynn grant program.
  • Assist in monitoring and tracking the work of organizations selected in the BabySteps-Lynn RFP.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Present on BabySteps data in meetings when called upon by the Executive Director;
  • Identify data driven programmatic trends to inform implementation strategy;
  • Assist with any reports to meet donor requirements detailing procedures, outcomes, and observations.


Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Exemplary interpersonal skills
  • Excellent writing and communications skills
  • Must have excellent data analysis skills, including: using R-software to clean and manipulate datasets, merging and reshaping datasets for analysis, generating figures/tables in R, generating maps in R and/or GIS, maintaining existing code and datasets for evaluation purposes

REQUIREMENTS

  • Graduate Degree preferred
  • Experience with R required
  • Experience with GIS preferred
  • Computer skills: MS Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel, and other Internet search engines
