Job Description
This position is for an EDP Systems Analyst II to join the Distributed Learning Team and assist with the upkeep associated with Distributed Learning systems and classrooms throughout the state. The main responsibilities will involve maintaining Distributed Learning systems and classrooms across the state, offering both remote and on-site technical support for PC/laptops in a Windows environment. Expertise in troubleshooting PC/AV hardware, networking, and active directory environments will be crucial. Additionally, this position will also assist with the setup and maintenance of the Mobile Distributed Learning Classrooms.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in Massachusetts National Guard Distributed Learning Classrooms.
- Work with customers to assist with questions, issues, and support of collaboration tools.
- Collaborate with the Distributed Learning Team to implement upgrades and hardware changes to the classroom equipment.
- Travel to Distance Learning Classrooms to meet with classroom points of contact and address issues, events, and concerns.
- Transport and setup up Mobile Distributed Learning Classrooms (MDLC's) throughout the state as required.
- (Re)image and prepare PC/laptops for classroom deployment and degauss decommissioned equipment.
- Assist the Distributed Learning team with surveys of potential MDLC move locations and meet with units requesting MDLC Classroom information.
- Work with the Distributed Learning Training Coordinator to provide information to potential customers and support event coordination/setup/post-event recaps.
- Assist EDP Systems Analyst III with Windows administration, patch management and vulnerability remediation. Assist with Network administration of Distributed Learning Classrooms.
- Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Desired Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of the English language, including grammar, spelling, sentence structure, word meaning and punctuation.
- Ability to follow and give oral and written instructions clearly and precisely.
- Familiarity with the latest presentation technologies.
- Ability to write and maintain accurate records.
- Ability to effectively communicate with customer and assemble information per established procedures.
- General understanding of video teleconferencing or electronic learning.
- Ability to work collaboratively and exercise sound judgment.
- Ability to independently plan and organize and demonstrate professional courtesy and tact in dealing with personnel, clients, vendors or other agencies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft software suites.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for IT and AV hardware and software.
- Strong understanding of audio/video conferencing tools and experience with electronic learning.
- Experience with IT hardware and software installations.
- Some experience with an Active Directory and Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM).
- A valid driver's license.
- A reliable means of transportation.
- Ability to lift heavy object. Will be required to team lift large heavy objects exceeding 100 lbs.
Candidates must be able to obtain a Secret level security clearance and a Security Plus certificate within a probationary period.

Minimum Entrance Requirements:
Applicants must have at least (A) three years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, professional experience in electronic data processing, of which (B) at least one year must have been in work in which the major duties included computer systems analysis, or (C) any equivalent combination of the required experience and the substitutions below.
SUBSTITUTIONS:
I. An Associate's degree with a major in the field of data processing or computer programming may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the required (A) experience.
II. A Bachelor's or higher degree with a major in the field of data processing or computer and/or information science may be substituted for a maximum of two years of the required (A) experience.
III. A diploma for completion of a two year full-time, or equivalent part-time, program in a recognized non-degree granting business or vocational/technical school above the high school level with a major in the field of computer programming may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the required (A) experience.
IV. An official transcript from a recognized business or vocational/ technical school as evidence of completion of a program consisting of at least 650 hours of instruction in the field of computer programming may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the required (A) experience.
V. Graduation from the data processing course of a recognized vocational/technical high school may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the required (A) experience.
Education toward such a degree or diploma will be prorated on the basis of the proportion of the requirements actually completed.
NOTE: No substitution will be allowed for the one year of the required (B) experience.
