The Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities (HLC) is excited to announce the 2025 Summer Internship Program, aimed at offering graduate and college students and individuals with equivalent experience a pathway to explore careers in the public sector. This opportunity will provide you with hands-on experience in various Divisions within HLC.
HLC's Summer Internship Program is designed to offer work experience and opportunity for growth. We will match interns with opportunities that align with their career aspirations.

The program is designed for motivated, service-minded individuals seeking to gain firsthand experience in policy development, program management, community and stakeholder engagement, and administrative processes. It offers an exciting chance to work closely with HLC Officials and departmental staff in Public Housing and Rental Assistance, Finance, Housing Stabilization, Livable Communities, Housing Development and Climate and Strategy.
PROGRAM DETAILS
The internship spans from June 9, 2025, to August 15, 2025, with applications due by Friday, April 25, 2025. Positions are full time, 37.5 hours per week, and offer a competitive wage up to $23.00 per hour. Interns are required to commit to the program through August 15th.
Qualifications
First consideration will be given to those applicants that apply within the first 14 days.
Eligible candidates must be 18 years or older, currently enrolled in higher education or possess 2-4 years of relevant work experience. Strong communication skills, the ability to collaborate across diverse groups, effective time management, and a demonstrated interest in housing and community development.
