Join the Children's Trust for a rewarding internship. We are a passionate team of doers and thinkers who are determined to stop child abuse in Massachusetts. We are seeking a dynamic individual for an internship focused on supporting our work on child sexual abuse prevention. If you are curious, flexible, self-motivated, and passionate about our mission, then this is the position for you!

In this role, you will be an integral part of the Family Support Training Team, focusing on child sexual abuse prevention (CSAP). You will work closely with team members, supporting other functional areas, participating in meetings, assisting in planning and operations, and working on key projects to help meet goals. You will gain skills in developing and managing newsletters, managing the CSAP Trainer resource and material site content, trainer social media, as well as supporting Children's Trust legislative advocacy and promoting programs and events.

This position may be up to 30 hours, ideally committing at least 20 hours/week for the academic year. Expected start date in September 2024. It is an hourly position commensurate with experience. While the position is remote, we are looking for someone that can come into the office if needed. Note this fall semester internship may have the option to extend through May or Summer 2025.

Responsibilities:

• Support Child Sexual Abuse Prevention in-house programming: Keeping Kids Safe training management support (trainer communication, trainer newsletter writing, trainer website materials update)
• Support Safe Kids Thrive child sexual abuse prevention website for Youth Serving Organizations: content review and editing; website testing.
• Support the planning and implementation of Children's Trust Annual Conference as well as ongoing topical trainings.
• Support the implementation the Find-Help online resource and referral platform.
• Perform related duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

• Candidate must be pursuing a Master's or PhD degree in Public Health, Social Work, Sociology, Early Childhood/Elementary Education, Criminal Justice, or a related field or a recent graduate.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Must be a self-starter and able to work independently, taking an idea and running with it.
• Commitment to participating in and supporting a DEIB learning culture.
• Possess excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strengths-based mindset and approach to working with families.
