PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Communications Associate will work alongside the Assistant Director of Digital Engagement to create cohesive internal and external communications for the Office of Economic Empowerment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the department's communications and marketing strategy with content development, editing, social media, website updates, press, and videos.
  • Facilitate communications for the Economic Empowerment Trust Fund members and other stakeholders
  • Maintain and regularly present on data and analytics on OEE's marketing channels.
  • Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Measure and develop data and analytics reports to help the office monitor the effectiveness of email, social media, and the web.
  • Draft and maintain event briefings.
  • Collaborate with other Treasury departments and key partners to promote brand consistency.
  • Coordinate vendor relations as it relates to marketing and communications efforts.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • At request of Assistant Director of Digital Engagement, represent OEE at Treasury Communications meetings.
  • Create promotional materials.
  • Support translation and printing services for the office.
  • Expected to remain up to date on current digital communications practices.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and Canva.
  • Experience with WordPress, Drupal, and other CMS preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Driver's license and ability to travel throughout the Commonwealth required.
