Position Summary

This RMV Business Analyst will provide business analysis-related support for RMV projects and services. This position will work closely with the RMV Business Architect to identify issues and process reengineering opportunities for Atlas, the RMV's core operational system.

A key component of this position will be to analyze processes and document requirements for RMV projects. In addition, this role will actively document and help re-engineer the RMV's business processes in alignment with the RMV's business strategy.

The Business Analyst will interact with business representatives to gain an understanding of the business environment and gather requirements. This position will act as a liaison between customer and technical solutions/support groups to identify business process and product requirements, research, identify, and test solutions for business problems.

Duties and Responsibilities

This position is responsible for performing the following duties:

  • Produce work products, as appropriate, including business requirements documentation, workflows, business rules, process flows/models using IBM Bliueworks and/or Visio, and training materials.
  • Provide recommendations and specifications to refine current state business processes and workflows to achieve a positive impact for RMV business operations.
  • Provide Teir II level production support for system defects and issues.
  • Build subject matter expertise in customer's field and develop productive relationships with customers.
  • Document the detailed business requirements in a traceable, testable and verifiable format, providing recommendations and specifications to refine the business processes as needed to achieve a positive impact to the solution.
  • Validate requirements to meet the needs of the business and perform system testing to validate the high-level functionality of solutions.
  • Review system change requests to ensure completeness.
  • Execute readiness assessments (testing, training, communication etc.) on all system updates for completeness.
  • Participate in the evaluation and prioritization of RMV system change requests.
  • Support test strategy definition, test requirements definition, development of test scenarios, and execution of test phases.
  • Analyze business data and how the values relate to the business process.
  • Define and create reports and specifications using appropriate applications (MS Word, Excel etc.).
  • Perform other tasks, as assigned.

Minimum Entrance Requirements
