The MPTC's training programs include a comprehensive, 800-hour basic recruit training program for new police officers, statutorily required annual in-service training programs, and specialized training programs. The MPTC's academies work closely with the local municipal police departments in their respective regions and are responsive to regional training needs and requirements.
