An exciting opportunity has become available to joinBoeing Poland as anExpert Structural Analysis Engineer,based from ourRzeszow or Gdanskoffice in Poland.

On Saturday, 12 March 2022, the President of the Republic of Poland signed a law to assist citizens of Ukraine in connection with the armed conflict in that country. As part of this law, Ukrainian refugees in Poland benefit from access to the Polish labour market. Boeing welcomes applications from Ukrainian refugees who are seeking employment in Poland.

Profile Description:
  • Receive technical guidance and mentorship as you learn products, systems, and approaches and launch your career in aerospace.
  • Perform structural analysis of aircraft components, assemblies, and systems.
  • The Structural analysis includes calculation of loads, and static and fatigue analyses.
  • Assist in evaluating the structural integrity of aircraft components by way of classical hand calculations and finite element methods.
  • Generate documentation to report analysis and test results to support certification and qualification processes.
  • Be inquisitive, pro-actively seek information, and assist to complete the work statements.
  • Solid communicator, fluent in both written and verbal English.
  • Technical rigor and focus on excellence.

Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Applied Mechanics, Structural Engineering, or related fields.
  • 8+ years of work experience as a structural analysis engineer in the aviation industry.
  • Proven experience in structures engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering fundamentals such as material properties, free-body diagrams, load path, structural loads, joints, and structural analysis methods.
  • Strong knowledge of the strength of materials (hand calculation, analytical methods) approach.
  • Strong knowledge of aircraft structure design philosophy.
  • Solid communicator, fluent in both written and verbal English.
  • Must be legally able to work in Poland.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in static, fatigue, and damage tolerance analyses.
  • Experience in structural analysis of metallic airframe structures.
  • Knowledge of the finite element method approach will be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of techniques to help identify a customer's organization, capabilities, practices, support resources, preferences, problems, and other constraints in order to provide effective product support and technical issue resolution.
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret engineering technical information (e.g. drawings, handbooks, industry standards and specifications).
  • Knowledge of engineering tests techniques, including handling qualities, performance, systems testing, structural loads, weapons separation, propulsion, etc.
  • Able to work collaboratively with a multi-functional team and work flexible hours to meet the business needs.

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master +3 years related work experience).
