BR&T is looking for an Experienced Materials, Process and Physics Technical Analyst (Metals and Assembly), level 3, based out of Tukwila, Washington to support the Boeing Defense Programs in Puget Sound and the enterprise. Daily tasks include engaging with engineers to develop, fabricate, assemble and test prototypes, shop aides, and engineering test fixtures. The majority of tasks will be performed in a machining lab environment, growing and mastering hands on skills through build and test projects. Ideal candidates will have the experience, abilities, and passion for hands on manufacturing operations.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Computer Numerical Control (CNC) and conventional Machining, assembly and evaluation of parts, materials, processes, or equipment through research and testing to ensure safety, reliability and adherence to requirements and specifications
  • Interpret and program engineering drawings or Computer Aided Design (CAD) models to generate machine control code/Numerical Control (NC) Programs
  • Operate CNC and conventional machines, select appropriate cutters and tools, create fixturing as needed to produce high quality parts
  • Collaborate to determine suitability of parts, materials and processes and coordinates resolution of issues with suppliers and customers
  • Support continuous improvement of products and processes by designing, developing, fabricating, testing, evaluating and implementing new concepts and technology
  • Provide knowledge and technical consultation to internal and external customers

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Associate's degree or higher
  • 3+ years' experience with hands on machining and mechanical assembly/operations

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Experience with design and assembly skills using CATIA and/or SolidWorks
  • Experience with MasterCam CNC Programming Software
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications
  • Inter-personal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a dynamic setting with shifting daily priorities
  • Ability to collaborate with others

Typical Education/Experience:

Associate's degree in related discipline and typically 3 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
