Job Description:

Primary Duties and Responsibilities (details of the basic job functions):

  • Innovation & Business Development
    • Work with various departments and business partners in support of operations, strategy, and special project needs and may develop/assist with communications
    • Provide support and project oversight to key DE&I initiatives in support of Travel.
    • Supports initiatives to assess and enhance the traveler experience on AAA.com.
    • Assist in the development and enhancement of Travel's chatbot capabilities, assessing performance and recommending enhancements.
    • Support customer satisfaction action items to assist L&D with identifying key areas for training opportunities.
    • Supports projects with technical components and acts as a technical resource for systems changes, including developing business requirements and testing.
    • Assists with travel partner co-op billing for promotional events.
    • Provides support for travel innovation initiatives.
    • Assist with business case development as needed
    • Participate as requested in key industry forums and stay abreast of communications from partners such as Tourism Cares.
    • Develops and implements business line communications to support operational, marketing, and engagement strategies
    • Supports development and implementation of agent strategies and programs

  • Analyze, Assess, Report
    • Supports business development initiatives to enhance travel promotion strategies through Salesforce integration enhancements, dashboards, and reporting.
    • Works alongside Travel Promotions Development Consultant on promotion analyses with data visualization to inform future promotional activities.
    • Assess and enhance Travel's analytics dashboard in Tableau, providing valuable and effective data for strategy development.
    • Effectively analyze virtual event and engagement data from multiple reports creating comprehensive analysis.
    • Assist in the assessment of the competitive landscape as it pertains to virtual consumer engagement to help provide recommendations to increase ACG's competitive advantage in the marketplace.
    • Support the assessment of the traveler experience within the virtual channel and identify opportunities for improvement and constructive collaboration across other strategies.
    • Create and share monthly and quarterly reports for travel leadership on key initiatives.
    • Provide key metrics for monthly and quarterly travel scorecards.
    • Develop effective Salesforce lead and opportunity reports
    • Provide daily and weekly sales reports to leadership during key promotions.
    • Provide guidance and direction on effective development of Salesforce travel event dashboards.

II. Required Qualifications (these are the minimum requirements to qualify)

Education (include minimum education and any licensing/certifications):

  • College coursework in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or extensive experience in a related field.

Experience:

  • 3+ years of travel industry experience and strong knowledge of travel agency operations
  • Planning, developing, and/or implementing promotional and marketing events.
  • Researching, analyzing, identifying, and resolving business problems
  • Understanding of Salesforce functionality
  • Project team member

Knowledge and Skills:

Knowledge of:

  • Travel industry and business trends
  • Company products and services
  • Current digital engagement tools and technologies

Skillset: (What is the skillset needed to perform the functions of the job?)

  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
  • Exceptional communication skills - both verbal and written
  • Keen understanding of digital engagement capabilities

  • Understand product placement and positioning for consumer consumption
  • Identify areas of inefficiency and provide recommendations to streamline processes

  • Identify potential growth opportunities and implications to the business operation
  • Effectively analyze data and surface relevant assumptions to drive business goals
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and efficiently with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to effectively manage programs and initiatives with minimal oversight in a remote environment

  • Keen understanding of Salesforce functionality
  • Ability to research data and provide critical analysis to leadership

IV. Work Environment

Primarily work in a remote/virtual environment. 10-15% Travel is required based on Leadership needs and events.
