Job Description:

Senior Administrative Support Staff - Fremont Insurance

What you will do:

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assembling policies and preparing outgoing and incoming mail.
  • Utilizing various tools/equipment in the process like postage meter, folder inserter machine
  • Imaging and routing documents to policies and claims files
  • Sorting and distributing incoming claims mail and claims faxes.
  • Reprinting and mailing policies when requested by policy holders.
  • Processing Home mortgage changes
  • Shipping Outgoing UPS packages from the mail room
  • Various other miscellaneous administrative tasks, as needed.

Work Environment

This position currently reports to the Fremont in office location 5 days a week. Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm EST This is subject to change based on amendments and/or modifications to the ACG Flex Work policy.

We're looking for candidates who:

Preferred Qualifications

Experience:

  • Prior experience in office setting and insurance knowledge is favorable.
  • Assembling policies and preparing outgoing and incoming mail.
  • Utilizing various tools/equipment in the process like postage meter, folder inserter machine
  • Imaging and routing documents to policies and claims files
  • Sorting and distributing incoming claims mail and claims faxes.
  • Reprinting and mailing policies when requested by policy holders.
  • Processing Home mortgage changes
  • Shipping Outgoing UPS packages from the mail room
  • Various other miscellaneous administrative tasks, as needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Required Qualifications (these are the minimum requirements to qualify)

Education and skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 40 words per minute typing abilities. High data entry work

Experience:

  • analyzing, researching and resolving complex administrative problems
  • operating a calculator
  • performing mathematical calculations to include addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and percentages
  • PC software applications (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • maintaining accurate records
  • utilizing a personal computer
  • writing correspondence and memos
  • maintaining accurate records/logs

Knowledge and Skills:

Knowledge of:

  • business grammar and spelling
  • department policies and procedures

Ability to:

  • prioritize and handle multiple tasks
  • audit records, products and computer files
  • work independently and within a team setting
  • gather data and prepare report information
  • communicate effectively with others in a work environment and with the public
  • rotate within department to perform various training or support functions
  • walk and stand for majority of work day, depending on area assigned
  • bend and stoop in order to perform filing functions
  • **lifting requirements/ sit/stand/walk
  • typing and 10 key number entry
