Retail Sales Leader

I. Position Description

Primary Duties and Responsibilities (details of the basic job functions):

Our Licensed AAA Agents sell personal insurance policies such as Auto, Home and Life to our 2 million+ AAA members in the Carolinas.

Essential Responsibilities Include:

  • Prospect AAA leads and close Insurance sales
  • Sell various types of personal lines of insurance such as Auto, Home and Life while developing synergy with other AAA businesses to succeed as a team.
  • Manage the entire sales process to ensure proper product and service delivery
  • Interact with policyholders to explain coverage, suggest additions or changes, and review portfolio in detail.
  • Dedication to delivering a superior customer service experience while developing new business relationships and maintaining current AAA relationships

II. Required Qualifications (these are the minimum requirements to qualify)

Education (include minimum education and any licensing/certifications):

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Current Property & Casualty Insurance Sales license
  • Current Life Insurance Sales license
  • Valid driver's license - with satisfactory MVR
  • Must qualify, obtain, and maintain all applicable state licenses and appointments required for selling and/or servicing Auto Club Group Membership products
  • Obtain Health and Accident licenses and appointments where applicable as deemed necessary and within a time frame established by the Business Unit.

Experience:

  • Proven professional sales experience

  • Excellent listening skills and ability to understand customer needs.
  • Takes initiative to learn multiple internet platforms and agency management systems.
  • Excellent Communication Skills-ability to communicate personal perspectives, and ideas to AAA Members, while listening and learning from our others in the organization.
  • Self-Motivation - possesses effective time management skills and personal accountability to accomplish personal and organizational goals and priorities.

III. Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Personal Lines including Auto, Home, and Life
  • Active Property & Casualty Licenses or degree in Insurance or Risk Management (or comparable), in lieu of active license. Must be able to obtain Property & Casualty License, Life, Accident, and Health licenses.
  • Holds or pursuing professional insurance designations (AINS, CIC, CPCU, or other)
  • College level coursework or recent graduate

IV. Work Environment

Spends a varying amount of time in off-site locations, in order to solicit and sell products and attend meetings, with exposure to road hazards and temperature extremes. Willingness and ability to work irregular hours - including evenings and weekends. Works in a temperature-controlled branch location when not at off-site locations.
