Director, Digital Enterprise Application Business Relationship and Program Lead
Position Summary
The Digital Enterprise Application Business Relationship and Program Lead is a strategic leader who will consolidate all potential and approved initiatives or projects in a form of a global and holistic Enterprise Application Roadmap, partnering with other Digital and Business Leaders to ensure alignment with Digital and specific Business strategies and with long term AES Strategy across all key business lines in Renewables, Infrastructure and Utilities businesses.
This role involves collaborating with Business and Digital stakeholders inside and outside of AES to design, keep updated and achieve milestones of strategic roadmap in line with the short and long-term Business Plan, Capital Investments and Operational Expenses budgets. The ultimate goals are to enhance efficiency, productivity, standardization, internal and external customer satisfaction and innovation. Also, this role will use the knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Customer Relationship Management (CRM) among other technologies in combination of latest innovation in areas such as AI, Advanced Analytics and Enterprise Integration. The Digital Enterprise Application Business Relationship and Program Lead will also manage the transition from programs/projects to the Enterprise Application Support teams after every implementation of components from the Enterprise Application Roadmap.
Primary Roles & Responsibilities
The main responsibilities will include:
- Establish and maintain a Business Relationship with cross business and function areas related with Asset Management, Supply Chain, Finance, Environmental and Health.
- Establish and maintain a Business Relationship with specific business and function areas related to Renewables, Infrastructure and Utilities segments.
- Keep aligned key integration considerations between Enterprise Application discipline with other Digital key areas such as Digital Share Service Center, Cloud & Infrastructure, Service Management, Cybersecurity, Collaboration and PMO.
- Manage the strategic relationship with key digital and tech partners in the Enterprise Application arena. Different software licenses modes and different implementation methodologies (Waterfall / Agile).
- Plan and execution of Multiyear, Multimillion dollar Capital Investment, Operational Expenses Long Term Forecast budget and also establish a strong contract management in area of responsibility.
- Actively participate in evaluation, selection, execution and management of digital solutions and related partners.
- Work in an anticipated manner with Enterprise Application Management Service Team for smooth transition from Project to Production Support & Operations
- Data Analytics and Reporting: Work with data analytics team to obtain insights on how to improve overall performance on Digital and Business operations.
- Risk Management and Compliance with Internal and External Controls.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
- Master Business Administration Degree in strategic business and technology is a relevant plus.
- 15 years of professional experience in Digital & Information Technology, with at least 10 years in a role focused on digital transformation or systems integration within the energy and utilities industry.
- 10 years of experience with proven track record in managing complex projects and leading cross-functional teams.
- 10 years of experience in Global Enterprise Application management on related software brands like SAP, Salesforce, Workday, Service Now, and also software system integrators like Accenture, Deloitte, PwC, TCS, Cognizant, Infosys among others.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data analytics for decision making.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively with technical and non-technical teams.
- Knowledge of latest market trends (Big Data, AI/ML, Cloud, Mobile, Analytics) for an electrical utility.
