Job Overview

Responsible for providing financial support and performance analysis to the global/regional operations and plant management teams. The role requires an exceptional business partner to drive organizational success through the development and execution of financial strategies. Key responsibilities include managing a team of operational financial analysts/plant controllers, consolidation and analysis of actual results/forecasts/budgets, conducting monthly plant reviews, product/conversion/material productivity analysis, driving freight/inventory reductions, and supporting capital investments. The position also requires coordination with the regional/global BU supply chain team.

What your background should look like:

Key Tasks:
• Ensure long and short-term financial and operations performance across all core financial metrics: e.g. Plant flex, CapEx and Inventories optimization; filling conversion and material savings pipelines etc. while advising the leadership team on risks, compliance and opportunities
• Lead full financial function of plant: accounting, financial planning & analysis, tax and treasury planning, internal control
• Partner with operational leaders to develop long term strategy, set financial plan and targets, and relentlessly drive execution.
• Develop a structured controlling environment to ensure compliance with Company Policy.
• Support Plant General Manager as a business partner and provide financial discipline and guidance to aid operational growth
• Set up a robust costing analysis and control mechanism to improve continuously productivity. Identify cost driver, translate financial insights of the site into recommendations and drive execution of agreed actions through completion that impacts business results
• Work with external auditors on statutory and Tax matters (eg. annual statutory &tax filings or VAT)
• Ensure smooth communication between Global finance teams and Plant. Interact with global Operation finance team to make sure key KPIs are tracked timely, financial indicators are translated to effective actions to improve.
• Serve as legal entity controller, working with external auditors on statutory and Tax matters (eg: annual stat & tax filings), and carrying out other related responsibilities
• Work closely with Corporate Finance (FSSC) and other corporate functions (Tax, Treasury etc.) to ensure smooth communications and drive execution
• Supervise and instruct direct reports to perform and develop the team's capability to meet business requirement and achieve personal goal
• Collaborate across Industrial BU team for continuous improvement and standardization of process and best practice sharing.
• Talent development : ensure team is engaged and developed with formalized IDP and recurring discussions.

Key Qualifications, Experiences and Knowledge:
• Bachelor degree, preferably majoring in finance and accounting etc.
• Minimum 8 years work experience in Finance, preferred in an industrial multinational environment, at least 3 years management experience
• Thorough understanding of Operations finance details, including cost allocation methods, pay-back calculations and standard cost calculation
• Very strong exposure to transactional finance and controls - solution oriented
• Good understanding of plant business processes, their interaction and their impact on the operational results
• Ability to leverage, apply and integrate professional and academic experience and knowledge into formalizing solutions, procedures, and resolving issues
• Excellent communication skills to work with different Functions
• Fluent English speaking and writing capability
• Proficient in SAP
• Must possess a positive, team-oriented attitude, and strong communication skills, Self-motivated and willing to take challenge
