Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Tax Teams develop and implement systems to compile information for various federal, state, and local reports. They ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns. They assess tax implications surrounding pending mergers and acquisitions. The Tax Teams recommend ways to minimize corporate tax through use of tax laws and regulations. They may administer international tax laws and regulations and also audit financial records to determine tax liability.

• Corporate income tax and indirect tax returns computation, filing and assessments for all relevant legal entities.
• Ensure all tax payments by due dates.
• Prepare and review current and deferred income tax provision calculations under US GAAP and journal entries.
• prepare tax reports/analysis within required schedule.
• maintain records and adequate documentation necessary to respond to Corporate or tax authority inquiries.
• Assist Tax Manager to mitigate tax risks by timely taking pro-active actions.
• Coordinate and support external and internal audits to ensure that audits are completed in a timely manner.
• Work towards successfully closure of tax assessment or audits implemented by tax authorities.
• Review of transfer pricing documentation to ensure compliance with TE's Corporate policies and China tax regulations.
• Liaise with Regional Tax team and BU Finance team for day-to-day TP management and take part in quarterly Source P/L review.

Business Support
• Coordinate with BU finance, logistics and other function from tax perspective.
• Relationship with local tax authorities and other relevant institutions is developed in a positive, constructive, problem solving and cooperative but compliant way.
• Assist Tax Manager to ensure China tax compliance and tax strategic matters are properly managed, executed, and taken care of.

Performance Improvement
• Assist Tax Manager in identifying potential areas for improvement, support the implementation of the initiatives to drive continuous optimization.
• Other tasks assigned by Tax Manager

Required Profile:

Level of education and knowledge:
 Bachelor's degree in tax, accounting, finance, or other related fields.

Experience in general:
 2 - 5 years of working experience in tax function in a company with manufacturing background, experience in Big 4 accounting firm or a shared service is preferred.

Technical skills:
 Fluent in English required (both written and oral).
 Knowledge of US and Chinese local GAAP is preferred.
 Proficient in MS Office, familiar with ERP accounting module as a functional end user.
