This newly created position within our corporate function will play a pivotal role in developing strategies, collaborating with internal teams, and engaging suppliers to help TE achieve its Science-Based Target (SBT) commitment of a 30% reduction by 2032.
You will have the opportunity to lead various initiatives focused on reducing Scope 3 emissions from raw materials, while collaborating cross-functionally with stakeholders from operations, sustainability, procurement, and engineering.
What your background should look like:
Responsibilities:
• Lead the Scope 3 Raw Materials Reduction Program: Identify opportunities for reduction, develop short- and long-term reduction roadmaps and targets, work with internal stakeholders to create processes and standards, engage suppliers to support decarbonization efforts, ensure data accuracy and stay informed on industry developments related to resins and metals.
• Develop Raw Materials Reduction Roadmap: Collaborate with engineering and procurement teams to establish annual reduction plans and targets through 2032, track progress on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis, address any setbacks promptly, and create a scorecard for leadership review.
• Internal Collaboration: Facilitate regular meetings with internal teams to track progress and share best practices. Develop processes, standards, and training to streamline the program and collaborate on improving raw material use efficiency.
• External Collaboration: Partner with procurement to engage suppliers, attend supplier meetings, assist with technical document reviews, create resources and training to accelerate suppliers' decarbonization efforts, and develop a ranking system to assess suppliers climate maturity.
• Compliance and Risk Management: Stay up to date with evolving ESG regulations and industry standards concerning raw materials.
• Data Governance and Auditing: Assist with Scope 3 data governance and audit processes.
• Additional Responsibilities: Support other ad hoc projects as needed to advance TE's Scope 3 goals.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
• University degree in Sustainability, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of combined experience managing Scope 3/sustainability initiatives, supplier engagement, or supply chain operations, ideally within a manufacturing environment. Experience working in an international, matrixed organization is preferred.
• Technical knowledge of resins and metals in engineering or procurement is highly desirable.
• Ability to implement long-term strategies with year-over-year metrics and KPIs.
• Leadership Competencies: Thrive in a dynamic, purpose-driven environment. This role requires an ability to navigate ambiguity, work in fast-paced conditions, think critically, and drive operational excellence.
• Experience with GHG accounting and preparation for audits or external reporting within listed multinational companies.
• Strong collaboration skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Able to distill complex information into actionable guidance.
• Detail-oriented, well-organized, with analytical skills to identify opportunities, simplify problems, and determine root causes.
• A strong team player with a positive, proactive, and professional attitude.
• Highly self-motivated individual with a strong bias for action and impact.
• Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentation).
• Experience in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and lean/six sigma is a plus.
• Proficiency in data analysis and using reporting tools (e.g., Tableau).

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $112,000 - $140,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
