Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Supply Chain Managers are responsible for the timely, cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of production materials. They ensure the availability of materials in the supply chain, as scheduled, and the maintenance of inventory at the established levels. They coordinate and integrate the flow of materials and information among suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and customers, identifying opportunities for improving efficiency, effectiveness and capabilities of the supply chain. Resources are focused on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through production processes, and the establishment of key performance metrics and benchmarks to monitor actual performance against goals.

• Make commitments to customer orders based on a robust material supply and capacity plans
• Establish lead times of each operation to meet shipping dates and commitments according to sales forecasts or customer orders
• Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions
• Manage execution of plans & Raise of Manufacturing Orders based on capacity
• Provide Planning support for new Projects in the factory
• Support continuous improvement ethos and methodology across the organisation when needed
• Pro-active and responsive to customer (internal and external) requirements.
• Able to deal with suppliers, Place orders and chase for deliveries considering the inventory management constraints.
• Make sure MRP messages are up to date and in control within the portfolio.

What your background should look like:

• Very good understanding of the supply chain in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment, specifically in Production Planning.
• Very good experience in dealing with production plans and production planning issues.
• Experience dealing with customers and customers escalations is highly desired.
• 5 GCSE's grade A-C (or equivalent)
• Computer literate, with a good understanding of ERP & Microsoft Office software
• SAP Experience is essential.
