They align strategy and execution with cross-functional partners such as engineering, manufacturing, product management and functional owners. They execute the competitive bid, negotiation, contracting processes and/or technical continuous improvement for assigned commodities or services; collaborate across Business Units and cross-regions for optimal TE leverage. The Sourcing Manager is responsible for leading and managing the sourcing team in implementing and developing MOG Global Sourcing Strategy creating value aligned with TE organization goals. The candidate will train the team in tools and tactics to foster supplier relations to develop a category strategy which shall bring, on top of bottom-line savings, improving supplier quality and delivery performance, low carbon operational excellence and support the company to capture more work, remaining competitive in the market space. The Sourcing Manager shall internally act as a network leader ensuring that the sourcing across the MOG. Furthermore, must lead the process of development of vendor managed inventory and long-term agreements with suppliers, aiming to lower costs and maximize value. Alignment with other departments is a basic part of the success of the work. The strategy and execution must be collaborated with internal stakeholder such as engineering, manufacturing, product management and functional owners. Critical to the role are needs for strong knowledge of competitive bidding, negotiations, contracting processes including VMI/Consignment agreements and technical continuous improvement for assigned commodities. Supplier relationship management is key for the success and proper framework between the companies. The Sourcing Manager must always be in the pursuit of developing strategic partnerships or alliances with selected suppliers and lead the implementation of those within the company networks.
Job Duties
• Lead and manage the sourcing analysis team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and performance targets. Drive employee development through coaching, feedback, performance reviews, and creating opportunities for growth. Foster a collaborative and motivated work environment to ensure high team performance and engagement.
• In this role, you will be responsible with suppliers to include supplier market analysis; raw material market tracking; understanding of part cost breakdown, negotiations, price tracking and changes, key contact for supplier escalations, assurance of material supply with the supply base, analytics and analysis of data, and supporting commodity managers as assigned.
• Responsible to Achieve KPI's including material productivity, delivery, quality metrics, and supplier risk assessments; Ensure positive savings impact for assigned category with weekly management of trends and pricing issues.
• Perform and analyze market analysis to maintain a good knowledge of potential trends evolutions within the assigned portfolio (new players, new technologies, etc.).
• Act as point of escalation for critical hits or incidents to drive avoidance of value leakage through proactive actions to systematically improve supplier performance acting with peers and networks within procurement, QS and engineering teams.
• Supplier relationship management, including Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR's) for strategic suppliers as well as monitoring supplier cost quality, delivery, management/finances, and conformance to requirements.
• Responsible for contract management and leading creation of Supply Agreements including vendor managed inventory, standard pricing, and favorable terms and conditions.
• Drive standardization initiatives within category to reduce costs and lead time of products, components and material (incl. participation in initiatives driven by other parties.
• Develop and update the 3 - 5-year sourcing strategy aligned MOG procurement management and TE directives.
• Engage with NPI & Advanced Procurement teams for new project awareness and proactively work to close technology gaps into strategy.
• Support the TEOA-P initiatives and Star Level attainment for the region and business unit.
• Assure results are delivered compliant with TE policies and procedures.
• Assist regional purchasing teams and actions where required and share and integrate best practices.
• Provide timely and complete responses to various corporate, segment, business unit and functional support requirements
• Foster an environment of open collaboration with all functions of MOG as may be required to advance operational and integrated supply chain performance improvements. Actively and openly provide feedback (including constructive push-back) on Operations functional direction and action plans.
What your background should look like:
- Minimum of bachelor's degree in business, Engineering or Supply Chain (Masters preferred) or equivalent work experience.
- At least 7-10 years of relevant sourcing/procurement experience
- Prior experience that demonstrates ability to achieve desired results and KPIs successfully
- Strong people & organizational leadership skills: Person of true convictions; willing to stand up for convictions; Able to communicate, reinforce & coach/counsel others on those convictions; unafraid of change / improvement
- Business acumen, strong communication & negotiation skills, Leadership, creative, presentation skills, patient, influencing skills, Results driven, action oriented, comfortable with ambiguity,
- Strong understanding of operational issues (Kanban, JIT, Kaizen, 5S, VA / VE, Lean)
- Travel up to 10-25% of time.

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $103,100k - 154,700k annually (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
