Job Overview
PTS is a newly created business unit and is a growth driver with a focus on enabling customers in broad market products i.e. passives, switches and identification product portfolio. This role is responsible for accelerating organizational performance and growth through cohesive strategy planning and execution, focus on value creation and by ensuring execution cadence through a framework of reviews, feedback and metrics for impact and effectiveness. This is a high visibility and high-impact role with a succession to be a sub vertical GM role. The leader will drive all strategy, product development and partner in M&A activities in business. The Sr Manager Commercial is a member of the Precision Technology Solutions leadership team and report to VP & GM of Precision Technology Business Unit.

The Sr. Manager Commercial will lead a team of Product Managers and act with an entrepreneurial spirit and manage the portfolio with a GM mindset. This role requires strong strategic thinking and experience working across regions. With responsibility for overall product portfolio leadership to meet revenue and gross margin targets, this role must closely collaborate with colleagues in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain to gain alignment and drive the successful execution of the product roadmaps and growth strategies (organic and inorganic).
Market Sensing & Strategy Development
• Articulate market trends, demand drivers, customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape
• Define application and market segment-specific value propositions
• Conduct competitive analysis and benchmarking
• Develop product roadmaps and manage product lifecycle that aligns with business strategy
• Design go-to-market strategy, inclusive of channel strategy and partnerships
• Develop new ideas and constructively challenge existing ones, to refine "where to play" and "how to win" choices to drive growth with a sustain competitive advantage
• Model tradeoffs and drive efficient and effective use of capital to ensure alignment with strategy and financial expectations
• Identify strategic risks and help define risk mitigation and business models to turn risk to business benefits
Develop Business Plan
• Define resource requirements necessary to execute the product roadmap and growth strategy
• Establish pricing policy
• Develop the annual operating plan (Sales and gross or standard margin)
• Engage with customers to better understand their needs and ensure our product plans are aligned to their strategic priorities
Execution - New Product Development & Launch
• Plan product launches, including the development of marketing and sales plans, and competitive, market-based pricing
• Provide demand forecast inputs to S&OP
• Attend customer meetings to support acquisition of new business

Execution - Growth and Product Lifecycle Management
• Manage the P&L (sales and gross or standard margin) for the assigned portfolio
• Deliver sustained profitable growth
• Enable sales to promote product line via training and the development of collateral materials that help articulate the value proposition
• Manage special price requests
• Track progress to the business plan and facilitate resolution to gaps
• Be the champion for resolution of product issues (e.g. quality, delivery, etc.)
Business Development: Mergers and Acquisitions,
• Partner with key stakeholders to build and execute on the M&A pipeline.
• Building relationships with key personnel that endure through integration
• Be a leader of, and integral part of the Due Diligence team working with both corporate M&A and functional business unit teams
• Support the process of developing a detailed post-merger integration plans as appropriate and agreed in the deal model
• Lead the integration execution and facilitation of achieving the deal modeling
Commercial Excellence:
• Identify opportunities to leverage scale, to create global efficiencies, leveraging both BU, XBU and Channel market access and processes
• Identify, deploy and reinforce best practices/ processes across the BU
• Partner with S&OP, PM, Sales, Operations and finance teams to drive high quality inputs and outcomes
Talent Management
• Manage, energize, and motive a multi-cultural team of global product managers
• Support ongoing development and career planning for the team
What your background should look like:
• 4-year technical degree required; MBA preferred
• 10+ years of product management, strategy, business development or relevant P&L management experience preferred
• Industrial Manufacturing with distribution GTM experience is a strong advantage
• Strong business acumen with an ability to understand and navigate technically complex concepts
• Creative and innovative thinker able to provide input on the development of the product strategies and the relevant business plans with the ability to execute
• Proven ability to multi-task and drive results in a dynamic, high paced environment
• Strong interpersonal, planning, organization, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to influence cross functional teams both internally and externally
• Leadership gravitas and communication skills to influence executive teams on the investments and actions needed to accomplish growth objectives
• Advanced presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to foster understanding and acknowledgement of critical information both up and down the organization

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $161,400-242,200 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
