Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Sr Manager, Operations & Transformation is responsible for the day-to-day operations and short/long-term planning for the groups they manage. They manage manufacturing, production control, engineering, inventory control, EH&S, shipping/receiving, etc. focusing on the development of technologies and continuous improvement and translating customer requirements into state-of-the-art manufacturing strategies and processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage manufacturing value streams, materials planning, master scheduling, maintenance, warehousing, and finance supporting overall plant operations.
  • Coordinate Operations activities with department and value stream leaders to ensure that business unit objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Responsible for driving site sales, inventory, and operations planning processes, as well as establishing supply and capacity plans to meet customer requirements.
  • Manage the proper use and maintenance of buildings, premises, machines and tools, including preventive maintenance and repair plans in accordance with production obligations.
  • Ensure EHS compliance by and implementing preventative and corrective measures to ensure the occupational health and safety of employees, as well as compliance with necessary regulations; actively seek potential risks to proactively mitigate; make the necessary recording and reporting of incidences.
  • Create a culture of transformation and continuous improvement through TEOA and the use of lean tools to drive operational excellence with production efficiencies, lean processes, and margins improvements.
  • Annual budget planning and reporting for Operations.
  • Develop and maintain programs and policies to ensure a highly effective and motivated workforce; evaluate training needs and develop training and development plans to support high-performance teams.
  • Promote and use the quality policy to satisfy customers and continuously improve product and services.
  • Partner with business unit procurement to establish lean replenishment programs with key suppliers to reduce lead time and increase customer delivery and drive cost reductions to meet annual goals and drive supplier improvement plans with supplier quality.

What your background should look like:

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree major in engineering, management or electronics.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Master's degree
  • Experience in engineering and/or materials management
  • Operations transformation and project management leadership
  • Functional experience with SAP
  • Minimum ten (10) years' experience in leadership roles within a manufacturing organization
  • Demonstrated understanding of financial and operational performance data required.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to drive change and accountability in a fast-paced, international matrix organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate across cultural, geographic, business, and functional boundaries.
  • Ability to energize and motivate people and to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization and lead as a change agent and hold people accountable for high standards of performance.
  • Proven track record of creating, implementing and/or sustaining a lean operation within a dynamic environment.
  • Experience in developing, implementing and improving key performance indicator metrics through strong data analysis and continuous improvement.
  • Strong knowledge of Quality Systems and Problem Solving (Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing).
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $160,000 - 240,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
