Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Manufacturing and Process Development Engineering Teams significantly impact LEANPD driven new product development projects, driving for excellence in existing manufacturing technologies and methods and striving to implement new manufacturing technologies to provide improved process and tolerance control. They act as the binding element between product development and manufacturing engineering, ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of this critical interface. They support Product Development in the optimization of designs and piece parts for manufacturability by realizing sample tooling/products/prototypes. They also design, develop, and qualify tooling and processes to meet TE quality and production standards, document all processes and tooling in applicable TE systems, support supply chain to verify supplier compliance and capability, initiate and implement programs to continuously improve quality, cost and cycle time and adhere to all appropriate specifications, regulatory requirements and customer requirements.

This role is for a hands-on manufacturing engineer in a 3D printing NPI cell, a technical leader and someone accustomed to being the go-to person in supporting production. You should be skilled in applying innovative methods in designing fixtures, doing analysis, and preparing technical documents and be comfortable interacting with people. We'd expect you to be able to lead small teams -- made up of folks from different roles -- to implement improvements and solve quality issues. The job is fast-paced, fun and interesting, and while you'll focus on uptime, you must be able to react quickly and willingly to changing priorities. We all need to move at the pace of the customer. You'll own your manufacturing processes (including documentation) and will have the freedom and influence to improve their output. You'll also develop new processes and work with the product engineering team to design products for manufacturability. Once those new products are launched, you'll lead capital equipment projects to make them faster, better. Our engineering team expects collaboration and promotes the free transfer of knowledge.
What your background should look like:
• Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• A proven record of increasing productivity and achieving cost savings.
• Strong communication to all levels of an organization.
• Proficient with 3D modeling software such as Creo Parametric.
• Experience in designing and implementing tooling and fixtures.
• Ability to lead small teams and influence cultural change.
• 3D printing experience required.

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $102,600k - 153,800k annually (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
