Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Distribution & Logistics Teams manage the efficient flow of goods, services and information between point of origin through customer placement in order to meet customer requirements or internal business objectives. They create integrated processes among internal functions such as operations, purchasing and logistics, and outside suppliers. They also focus resources on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through various production processes, and establish key performance metrics and benchmarks relating to supply chain planning/forecasting to measure actual performance against goals on a regular basis.

Job Responsibilities

  • Final shipping box packaging & preparation to ship to customer for all Finished Goods/other non-Inventory shipments.
  • Collection and checking of finished goods from Manufacturing.
  • Decision making on what/when to ship, in consultation with Customer Services/Production/Supply Chain Functions and based on ongoing assessment of product availability V Commercial sales due to ship.
  • Release/Pick and Item-Lot reservation for Commercial Sales orders (using SAP).
  • Accurate picking /matching of FG item-lots from shelf to match released Sales Orders.
  • Print & verification of Shipping box labels, and application of same to packed product.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Selection of transport method/mode/courier, as per Customer agreed Shipping T&C's
  • Printing/preparation of Domestic/International Transport/Import/Export documents.
  • Maintenance of Finished Goods Stock accuracy (Target 95% lot accuracy)
  • Excellent Record keeping including retention of all related shipping information.
  • Liaising externally with Freight Agents/Forwarders/Customs re Shipping/Transit.
  • Comply with all Health & Safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensure good housekeeping in work area.
  • Provide on-the-job training as required to other staff members.
  • Perform any other duties assigned from time to time.

  • Good interpersonal, communication and organisational skills. (Both written and verbal communications)
  • Flexibility to work overtime when required.
  • Computer literate, PC skills incl. MS Office package, MS Excel & SAP ERP system.
  • Driving License (Clean).
  • Forklift License (Desirable but full training will be provided to selected candidate).
