Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Product Engineering Teams optimize existing products from information or input provided by marketing, customers, Operation Teams, Development Engineers or other employees. They maintain existing products, processes, and specifications including modifications for new applications consistent with manufacturing techniques and economies. They also initiate and implement programs to continuously improve quality, and cost, while meeting customer requirements and may support and implement product extensions to existing platform products to meet specific customer requirements. They are the key experts in the products they are responsible for at TE.

Product Engineer for HV Contactors in Electric Vehicles.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Executes product design in according to external or internal customer requirements provided until industrialization
- Leads the product engineering part during product development projects and leads sustaining engineering projects according to Automotive requirements
- Ensures consideration of all applicable environmental restrictions during new product design and product changes
- During the product development, works cross-functionally with Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, Product Management and other team members
- Creates 3D models in CAD and 2D production drawings for parts, assemblies and finished products and Engineering specifications for each product and applying ISO GPS tolerancing
- Creates customer drawings and customer restricted drawings
- Does product design reviews and D-FMEAs with the respective product / project teams
- Defines testing plan for qualification in according to the customer and internal specifications
- Supports product improvements and product modifications requested for quality or manufacturability problems
Requirements:
- Bachelor / Master of Science in Mechanical-, Electrical-, Mechatronics- or Material Engineering, Physics or similar areas
- Between 7-10 years experience in Automotive Industry or similar and components for electric vehicles preferred
- Mechanical Design using advanced 3D CAD Software like CREO, Pro E, Catia, NX
- Application of geometrical tolerancing and tolerance calculations
- Analytic thinking, effective problem-solving skills and risk assessment methods by using modern analysis and design tools
- Good communication skills and technical English Language skills
