Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Quality Control and Reliability Teams ensure product and / or product components comply with specifications and quality standards. They test and inspect products against performance and integrity criteria to ensure product quality and reliability, and to determine the suitability of product release.

  • Conducts assigned inspection and testing activities consistent with quality policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Performing in-process and final inspections in accordance with the defined inspection plans.
  • Creates software programs for semi-automated and automated inspections on vision and touch probe machines.
  • Uses precision measuring instruments and makes, or assists in making, precision inspection set-ups.
  • Trains new employees in the use of equipment and on inspection procedure.
  • Reviews inspection equipment and methods utilized by manufacturing personnel and offers assistance/recommendations as needed.
  • Where needed, creates work instructions for the use of inspection program and use of fixtures.
  • Works safely and complies with all established safety rules and work practices.
  • Complies with Company, department, and quality polices and procedures as applicable.
  • Keeps the Quality Supervisor informed of job-related problems and other information related to work activity.
  • Maintains a positive work attitude and promotes a team approach throughout the Department.
  • Assist in the design of fixturing for use in inspection department, primarily for CMMs
  • Performs related work as apparent or assigned.

What your background should look like:

  • High school education or equivalent, plus at least 3 years of appropriate technical training including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
  • At least 2 years of first piece and in-process mechanical inspection experience in a close tolerance machining job shop environment preferred.
  • Desired measurement programming education/certificate. OGP experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft base applications.
  • Knowledge of and experience with surface plate inspection, small tool mechanical measurements, and coordinate measuring machines.
  • Ability to work from blueprints, inspection specifications, and/or written or verbal instructions.

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $51,392 - 77,088 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
