Job Overview

Responsible for managing a project team and driving project performance, resource planning, staffing, risk management, and communication. The focus will be on On-Time Delivery, scope, schedule, and budget objective attainment of low complexity, low risk project (s).

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead assigned Core Teams to achieve defined objectives.
  • Manage project scheduling and gap closure requirements as needed.
  • Establish and maintain project scope throughout the project lifecycle, including initial setting of scope, and scope change management.
  • Establish and maintain an accurate project schedule using Gannt based on commitment from core team members, customer, and all project stakeholders.
  • Identify necessary project resources.
  • Develop & manage projects plans and critical path addressing gap closure plans.
  • Manage project capital budgets and assure execution in alignment with business unit financial plan.
  • Assure projects are completed in accordance with business objectives for On-Time Delivery and Quality.
  • Conduct status meetings with internal Core Team and external customers.
  • Create and maintain project communication documentation supporting project review meetings.
  • Hold core teams accountable to schedule and deliverables.
  • Conduct lessons learned sessions and manage best practices.
  • Participate in and lead as required Phase Gate Reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with Product Lifecycle tools and procedures.
  • Ensure accurate time tracking on projects as required.
  • Clearly communicate roles, expectations, and accountabilities to all team members on a regular basis.
  • Conduct product quoting activities collecting and coordinating internal and external information and resources to appropriately support the activity.
  • Ensure compliance to PMO processes, procedures, and use of PMO templates.
  • Understand and comply with quality system and business practices necessary to complete job function.
  • Proactively identify & resolve risks & issues. Manage escalation within the management team as required.
  • Maintain accurate project data reporting and ensure accurate data report outs.
  • Ensure project closeout meetings and post-launch reviews are conducted.
  • Be a resource to facilitate the resolution of project issues by team members.
  • Work with functional managers as needed to meet project objectives, on-time delivery, and identify/resolve resourcing issues.
  • Manage multiple projects of low complexity and risk
  • May have to interact with customers

What your background should look like:

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of demonstrated Project/Program Management experience in technology or Medical Device Manufacturing working with internal and external customers required.
  • Level 8 degree in a related discipline.
  • Experience in the matrix management of a project team.

Key Requirements

  • Familiarity with LEANPD, Waterfall and Agile methodologies
  • Demonstrated business acumen and confidence communicating to senior management and core team.
  • Knowledge of industry standards preferred.
  • Formal Project Management training and /or PMP certification
  • Good knowledge of project management tools and processes.
  • Must be results-oriented.
  • Ability to act as TE and customer advocate.
  • Basic knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and component or assembly design principles preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in written and verbal communication required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Project, on-line collaboration tools, and databases required.
  • Exposure to change management.
  • Problem solving
