Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Product Management Team manage all aspects of the product, from driving new product development to bringing into the market. They are responsible for overall product strategy & business performance in order to meet sales and profit targets.
In this function, you will be part of TE's global Grid Monitoring team, working on grid monitoring solutions for power grids and will contribute to the development of the energy sector towards smart and digital pathway. You will be working closely with x-functional teams, managing all aspects of the product life cycle from strategy setting to day-to-day activities, as well as defining and executing the goals associated to the assigned product portfolio.

Your main tasks:

  • Portfolio & strategic tasks:
    • Develop product roadmaps
    • Develop 5-year plan to revenue target
    • Develop market outlook conditions, including TAM, PAM, CAGR.
  • Market Knowledge:
    • Monitor industry trends that will impact product requirements
    • Identify market needs and customer product requirements and product gaps to develop new products.
    • Define product requirements and translate customer needs into engineering specifications and PRD.
    • Attend industry conferences and events
  • Commercial tasks:
    • Drive go-to-market activities for new products and guide sales teams
    • Identify large strategic opportunities for extending product line
    • Develop and implement Plans to include target markets, target accounts, revenues goals and objectives
    • Identify and develop plans to close sales
  • Day-to-ay PM activities:
    • Set up new parts; establish pricing information
    • Work x-functionally, as necessary to support supply chain or quality disruptions
    • Monitor and track sales and business performance and do reporting
    • Support customers and sales team

Your profile:

  • Bachelor's / Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar (MBA is a plus)
  • some years' experience in Product Management or Commercial role
  • Relevant product or industry experience (smart grids, distribution automation, protection and control)
  • Financial analysis
  • Entrepreneurship combined with strategic thinking
  • Leadership and the ability to positively influence teams
  • Good communication skills and abilities to establish and motivate teams in a x-functional environment
  • Result and solution oriented
  • Very good English and German communication skills
  • Managerial experience and International experience are nice to have
