Job Overview:
The Procurement Category Specialist role is a position which will execute the 12-month plan and long-term strategy for the Cable Assembly, PCBA, Machining, Forming, Contract Manufacturing, and Semiconductor categories. This role will work within our TE Sensors Global Procurement team and will work closely with the respective Global Category Leader. The position will utilize procurement strategies to drive performance, competitiveness, and resilience within the existing supply base as well as new potential sources. The position is global, working with suppliers and internal team members globally to position TE Sensors Procurement for global competitiveness and success. A successful candidate will have robust experience in procurement, supplier management, and negotiation with soft skills in driving performance, outside the box thinking, and global perspective.

Responsibilities
As Procurement Category Specialist your responsibilities would include but are not limited to the following:
- Execute the category plan and long-term strategy set by global category leader in Cable Assembly, PCBA, Machining, Forming, Contract Manufacturing, and Semiconductor categories
- Drive annual global competitive bid RFQ to benchmark and award supply agreements to existing and new suppliers leveraging competition in the global supply base
- Prepare supplier negotiations with the global category leader using market data analysis, negotiable lever identification, target values, storyline, negotiation actions plan and scheduling
- Develop and deliver a resilient supply chain executing dual sourcing and consignment inventory stocking agreements
- Implement supplier performance improvement actions following QCOST methodology in monthly business reviews for key suppliers
- Proactively monitor supply risk and support factory operations on supply shortage escalations
- Leverage new product introduction opportunities to improve terms of current supply contract
- Analyze should cost, total cost of ownership analysis, make vs buy decisions to best position category
- Work Cross-Functionally to execute VA/VE and related material productivity initiatives
- Create and maintain SAP master data for raw materials
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business or Finance, Master's Degree is a plus
- 10+ years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, and/or Operations functions
- Strong negotiation and category strategy experience with track record of driving supplier performance improvement
- Cable Assembly, PCBA, Machining, Forming, Contract Manufacturing, or Semiconductor sourcing / industry experience in global, high complexity and mix, manufacturing environments
- Motivated individual who aggressively works to improve metrics and has the ability to learn quickly in a self-directed work environment with minimal supervision
- Experience working in a global environment and is comfortable presenting to a diverse audience, including senior management
- Fluent in English; reading, writing, and speaking English language
- Standard Working Hours 2 pm PHST - 11 pm PHST (Includes 1 hour Break)

Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Strategic Sourcing Teams develop and implement multi-year strategies for assigned commodities, suppliers and parts/services to achieve established goals in supplier quality, delivery, price and service. They align strategy and execution with cross-functional partners such as engineering, manufacturing, product management and functional owners. They execute the competitive bid, negotiation, contracting processes and/or technical continuous improvement for assigned commodities or services; collaborate across Business Units and cross-regions for optimal TE leverage.
