Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Product Management Teams manage all aspects of a product, from driving new product development to manufacturing to marketing. They are responsible for overall product strategy, business leadership, and capacity plans to meet sales and profit targets.

This position is for a Product Manager within the ADM connector team, focusing on the connector product portfolio. The Product Manager for this role will lead the Board to Board product portfolio and will be instrumental in creating a holistic vision. This individual will manage all aspects of the product lines in scope, from driving new product development to manufacturing, pricing, and marketing. Therefore, the role must closely collaborate with colleagues in Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Marketing to gain cross-functional / cross-business Unit alignment and drive the successful execution of the product roadmap.

Responsibilities

  • Define market trends, demand drivers, customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape
  • Conduct market segmentation to develop market segment-specific strategies
  • Business development Drive sales team to fuel pipeline
  • Conduct competitive analysis and benchmarking
  • Develop product roadmaps that aligns with business strategy
  • Work with R&D and Operations in the development of new products to meet current and future customer requirements
  • Develop market-based cost targets to align with BU profitability targets,
  • Manage the product lifecycle, focusing on capacity expansion ramps, and defining the right cost early in design cycles
  • Establish pricing policy
  • Attend customer meetings in support of winning new business
  • Exercise thought leadership
  • Manage the P&L (sales and gross or standard margin) for the assigned portfolios

What your background should look like:

  • Strong business acumen, good commercial and process understanding.
  • 3+ years of product-oriented experience or 1-3 years of Product Management or Product Strategy experience required.
  • 4-year technical or business degree required, preferable with knowledge about board connector related topics, e.g. high speed signal knowledge.
  • Able to work in an global organization
  • Advanced degree or relevant P&L management experience preferred.
  • Demonstrate entrepreneurship thinking
  • High motivation, assertiveness, and self-starter mentality
  • Team-oriented working style with ability to work on deadlines and challenging targets
  • Clear, strategic thinker with the ability to execute on priorities
  • Excellent relationship, communication, and presentation skills

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $107,800 - 161,600 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
