Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Molding Teams operate assigned automated molding machinery, ensure component flow, troubleshoot and correct machinery issues to ensure quality and productivity. They perform changeovers and setups according to production schedule, perform quality checks according to established processes and document the results as required by our quality procedures. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.

To perform 2nd operations (de burring, printing, trimming etc) in the Mould Shop ensuring that components are produced correctly to drawing and delivered on time.

What your background should look like:

Main Responsibilities and Tasks:
• To set and operate second operation machines as required ensuring parts are to the correct quality specified on the drawing and routing instructions, in line with the fundamental rules of component manufacture.
• Attend any departmental meetings as required to help achieve the departmental key performance indicators.
• To identify and help to implement any improvements or directives, this includes TEOA activities and 5S.
• Liaise with direct supervisor and other internal staff.
• To assist in the training of others as required when qualified to do so.
• To understand priorities and to work towards achieving delivery objectives.
• Work to, maintain and improve time standards so that late jobs may be minimised.
• To maintain a high level of house-keeping at all times in order that 5S+1 and health and safety standards may be maintained.
• To observe Health and Safety regulations as laid down in company procedures and Government legislation.
• To ensure all required maintenance is carried out in accordance to TPM plan where required.
• To adhere to company procedures at all times.
• When required, to carry out TEOA / KAISAN activities.
• To carry out any other reasonable tasks as may be requested from time to time.

Functions Supervised:
Work flow, 2nd operations

Assists / Co-Operates:
Supervision and other members of the production departments as required.

Education, Training & Background Experience:
The ability to follow standard works instructions is essential. Capable of working in a methodical way, with minimum supervision.

Resources:
TE Hastings Plant / Machinery / Equipment.

Decisions and Recommendations:
Efficiency and follows best working practices and recommends improvements where appropriate.

Initiative:
Ability to recognise and resolve day-to-day problems and to manage workload according to demand and priority. Should be able to work with minimal supervision and follow set procedures whilst adhering to strict safety regulations.

Mental Effort:
A high degree of concentration is required plus the ability to work within a busy environment.

Contacts & Communication:
Supervision, Cell Leader, other departments as well as other members of the production department as required.
