RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Interface with the product design teams to discuss technical inputs for simulations, failure modes, CTQs and carry out simulations, theoretical calculations to identify and mitigate risks through design recommendations.
• Collaborate with design & validation teams to enhance the design optimization. Conduct correlation study with actual test results and address correlation gaps.
• Support project execution through participation in design review meetings and core team meetings providing design recommendations. Identify Innovation opportunities.

• Validate concept designs using simulation techniques such as Structural, Vibration & Thermal analysis and determine design robustness, critical to function requirements.
• Deploy FEA Techniques - implicit and explicit approach, using Software tools like Ansys Work Bench, LSDyna, ICE Pack,Hypermesh, Simufact,Mathworks, Digimat etc. Majority on Nonlinear analysis, Electrothermal analysis/Electromagnetic etc. those are involving multi-physics.
• Translate actual problem to Finite Element Analysis (FEA) model, interpret analysis results and select best solution which includes linear & non-linear analysis under different conditions.
• Standardize the simulation model which can be used globally, should be able to use ANSYS APDL.
• Strong theoretical knowledge on Strength of materials
• Implement productivity improvement methods through simulations. Identify VAVE opportunities.
• Monitor and evaluate simulation software capabilities and industry trends.
• Deploy standardized process and work methodology.
• Train and develop capability of the team to be a multi-skilled resource pool.
• Benchmark implement productivity improvement methods.
• Track monitor metrics for sustained performance covering quality & delivery.

DESIRED SKILLS:

• 12-16 years of industry experience in simulation techniques such as Structural, Vibration & Thermal analysis.
• Knowledge on material science (Metals, Resins & hyper elastic material) and implement for simulation.
• Manufacturing process knowledge is preferred.
• Experience on Auto connector products (Plastic and Sheet Metal parts) is an added advantage.
• Correlation of Test and simulation data / results.
• Exposure to structured new product development process and stage gate frameworks to execute project activities from initial research & development throughout the entire project development lifecycle.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with leadership, stakeholders, cross functional teams (engineering, product management, manufacturing, etc.) and subject matter experts.
• Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with a hands-on practical approach and ability to make decisions when presented with a series of challenges, conflicts, and constraints.
