Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Distribution & Logistics Teams manage the efficient flow of goods, services and information between point of origin through customer placement in order to meet customer requirements or internal business objectives. They create integrated processes among internal functions such as operations, purchasing and logistics, and outside suppliers. They also focus resources on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through various production processes, and establish key performance metrics and benchmarks relating to supply chain planning/forecasting to measure actual performance against goals on a regular basis.

Logistics Project Manager, responsible for implementing, maintaining and consulting on LE topics (ie: Inventory, Receiving, Labeling, Shipping, Transportation). The project manager will be given an on-boarding program of functional and technical training, but "on the job" learning is required. The manager will work in a project team environment or alone on individual tasks. Team members are located across multiple regions of the world, supporting the global business footprint. The manager is expected to work with professionals in the TE business units to distill and document business requirements for LE processes and IT solutions. In addition, the manager will work with multiple teams to design, develop, test, deploy, and support IT solutions and processes in support of business imperatives.
Duties:
1) Manage global projects
2) Determine Business Requirements and drive solutions
3) Design and implement SAP-based Business Solutions
4) Prepare Development Specifications
5) Test the SAP System, Enhancements and Add-ons
6) Support Data Mapping for loading or updating of Master Data
7) Provide Training to Users within System Deployments

What your background should look like:

Competencies & Experience Required/Desired:
• 5 years of experience in project management and SAP LE environments
• Knowledge of SAP TM and SCT XPS is a plus, as TE is moving to those platforms.
• Strong willingness to operate in a global logistics organization, closely related with the business.
• Independent and solution oriented
• Excellent communications skills at various levels
• Experience with working with an offshore development organization in the background.
Educational Required/Desired:
• English as a first or second language, sufficient for telephone consulting, email, training, and documentation. Primary business communication language is English.
• Knowledge of other languages is a plus.
Travel Requirements:
• Should be willing to travel between 20% - 50% of time depending upon company travel rules and guidelines.
