Job Overview
This position reports to the Site Material Planning Manager. At TE Connectivity, the Materials Planning Team is tasked with planning, scheduling, and monitoring the movement of materials throughout the production cycle. Responsibilities include determining material quantities and order dates to meet production or engineering schedules, initiating purchase or production requisitions per supply agreements, and developing production facility schedules based on forecasts and historical data.
The Planner will be responsible for creating manufacturing and material supply plans which achieve customer satisfaction and cost objectives. He or she will be fully responsible for the delivery performance of its products, as well as the control of the related inventory. Working in conjunction with other members of the Planning team, and closely with other departments such as Manufacturing, logistics and Procurement Teams, this role supports Sales and Operations Planning processes.

Job Responsibilities
- Make commitments to customer orders based on a robust material supply and capacity plans
- Be responsible for the on time delivery performance towards customers
- Establish lead times of each operation to meet shipping dates and commitments according to sales forecasts or customer orders
- Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions

What your background should look like:
- A minimum 1 year of experience in planning required (production planning in a dynamic manufacturing environment preferred but not compulsory)
- 5 GCSE's grade A-C (or equivalent)
- Computer literate, with a good understanding of ERP & Microsoft Office software
- SAP knowledge preferred
