Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Materials Planning Teams manage the scheduling and movement of materials through the production cycle. They determine quantities, order dates, and initiate requisitions to meet production needs, while developing schedules based on forecasts and analysis. The team also creates specifications for new contracts, monitors supplier performance, and provides input for supplier reviews. They ensure cost, schedule, and scope are optimized for quality and value.

  • Revise daily schedule based on new orders and team input.
  • Collaborate daily with supervisors and managers to address production constraints and ensure on-time deliveries.
  • Monitor production areas and adjust orders in ERP for timely delivery.
  • Split and update production orders to streamline processes, aligning with quality standards.
  • Analyze efficiency and productivity to improve customer deliveries.
  • Manage inventory levels and replenishment with input from customer service.
  • Set and maintain stock levels in ERP based on demand forecasts and order sizes.
  • Provide lead times based on plant capacity and schedule.
  • Review PowerBI for production capacity to meet customer demands.
  • Generate master production schedules and manage outsourced suppliers through purchase orders and reports.
  • Create purchase orders for outsourced shipments and manage supplier communication.
  • Analyze open order reports to forecast supplier needs and address aging orders.
  • Track supplier performance using ERP analytics for on-time delivery metrics.
  • Communicate effectively across all levels, ensuring organization and adherence to TE Values.
  • Handle confidential information and write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Access customer information and resources for procurement.

Shift is: Monday to Friday 8 am to 5 pm - flexible schedule.

What your background should look like:

  • High School Diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Demonstrate past capabilities to learn computer systems (Microsoft office skills is an example, past ERP experience preferred but not required.)
  • Strong communication skills, the ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment, work collaboratively with your peers. Particular focus for this role is placed on a clear and professional telephone manner and the ability to build cross business (internal/external) relationships both on the phone, email and face to face.
  • The ability to work under pressure, be flexible, reliable and able to deliver results per specific targets in direct support of departmental goals and objectives.
  • Strong organization skills.
  • Display willingness to make decisions. Supports and explains reasoning for decisions. Includes appropriate individuals in decision making process. Makes timely decisions.

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $51,280 - 76,920 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
