Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Materials Planning Teams are responsible for the plans, schedules, and monitoring of the movement of material through the production cycle. They determine quantity and order date for materials to meet production or engineering schedules, initiate purchase or production requisitions compliant with supply agreements, and develop the schedule to be used in the production facility based on forecasts and historical analysis. The Team develops specifications for new contract orders as well as forecasts and plans for labor requirements. They provide timely and accurate input on supplier performance and may be asked to participate in higher level supplier performance reviews with the strategic sourcing team. They also monitor cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value.

What your background should look like:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES& TASKS
• Plans and prepares daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules. Coordinates with other planners to establish sequence and lead time of each operation, to meet ship dates, according to sales forecast and customer orders.
• Support the global S&OP process and drives continuous process improvements across demand planning & supply chain.
• Collaborate with stakeholders on scheduling customer request dates and NPI's.
• Analysis of capacity by area, line, machine, and product-based demand in a make to order environment.
• Planning and prioritizing operations to ensure maximum performance.
• Determine manpower, equipment and raw materials constraints.
• Monitor work orders to ensure they finish they will be finished on time.
• Ensure KPI's are met for assigned area.
• Level production based on constraints and as needed to meet customer expectation.
• Works with Purchasing team to understand and mitigate impact of RM receipts that are not released on time to meet scheduling requirements.
• Releases and tracks WIP work orders through to release.

COMPETENCIES & SKILLS
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Experience working with
• Power Bi / Power Query / SQL (Nice to have).
• Ability to use MRP and ERP systems.
• Strong communications skills in both oral and written.
• Must have great attention to detail.
• Competent organization skills and effective interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle confidential and intellectual property information.
• Working knowledge of inventory control and scheduling.
• Possess problem-solving skills in complex and demanding situations that undergo continuous priority changes.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
• Education:
• Bachelor of Engineering, International Trade, Business Administration or Related to Supply Chain.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 0-2 years of planning experience.
