Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Distribution & Logistics Teams manage the efficient flow of goods, services and information between point of origin through customer placement in order to meet customer requirements or internal business objectives. They create integrated processes among internal functions such as operations, purchasing and logistics, and outside suppliers. They also focus resources on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through various production processes, and establish key performance metrics and benchmarks relating to supply chain planning/forecasting to measure actual performance against goals on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain safe working practices supporting the company's standards i.e. 5S +1 initiative.
  • Ensure that the main fork-lift aisle is keep clear from stock and pallets etc.
  • Ensure of correct picking of materials from system documentation.
  • Deliver any material to Operational areas within the factor as per the systems documentation.
  • Follow Company processes on the relevant system to ensure system accuracy and integrity of items picked and delivered.
  • Ensure timely picking of materials and good housekeeping within the warehouse.
  • Use wave machines, powered pallet trucks, pallet trucks, trolleys and sack barrows for material movement.
  • File and process paperwork within the area in line with system requirements.
  • Have involvement with Stock taking.

Further Responsibilities

  • Keeping logs meticulously up to date.
  • Ordering consumables and necessary parts for the area.
  • Maintaining production plans to ensure alignment with customer demands and shipping deadlines.
  • Participating in weekly meetings with planning teams to review plans and workload.
  • Remaining informed about variances in SAP.
  • Effectively communicating and updating relevant departments on current operational statuses.

Key Requirements

  • Manual Handling.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Organised Methodical work ethic.

Qualiifications/Experience

  • Previous experience is preferred, but not essential.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with the SAP system is advantageous, though not mandatory.
