Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Operations Managers are responsible for the day-to-day operations and short/long-term planning for the groups they manage. They manage manufacturing, production control, engineering, inventory control, EH&S, shipping/receiving, etc. focusing on the development of technologies and continuous improvement and translating customer requirements into state-of-the-art manufacturing strategies and processes.

Primary Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for effectively leading a team of approximately 10-12 associates assigned to run 10-15 presses.

This position includes but is not limited to,

  • Assigned job responsibilities
  • Attending and holding daily and weekly meetings
  • Aiding with quality issues
  • Ordering production supplies
  • Maintaining all production activity through the shift
  • Performing daily audits
  • Championing lean activities such as 5S and TEOA activities
  • Enforce company and plant policies and procedures

Applicant will also be responsible for effectively working with the shift Supervisor to maximize productivity and provide feedback for employee evaluations. It is also the responsibility of the group leader to ensure that safety standards are followed and safety remains top priority in all we do.

Responsibilities and Qualifications:

Education / Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of stamping experience as a Stamping Operator III or higher
  • Working knowledge of Lickdale's Quality systems and manufacturing processes
  • Ability to communicate effectively - verbally, written, and email
  • Ability to demonstrate strong leadership capabilities
  • Must possess strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and be able to train associates in the team
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office Programs such as Outlook, Excel, and Word

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift & carry a maximum weight of 27 lbs
  • Must be able to push a peak force of 69 lbs
  • Must be able to pull a peak force of 80 lbs
  • Frequent standing and balancing throughout the day is required in this job

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience:$50,000 - $75,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
