Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Operations Managers are responsible for the day-to-day operations and short/long-term planning for the groups they manage. They manage manufacturing, production control, engineering, inventory control, EH&S, shipping/receiving, etc. focusing on the development of technologies and continuous improvement and translating customer requirements into state-of-the-art manufacturing strategies and processes. Primarily responsible for ensuring that product is packaged according to regulations, quality management system adherence, and customer specifications. In conjunction with packaging position responsibilities, will lead, coordinate, and effectively utilize all assigned resources in a manner that optimizes product quality and maximizes efficiency. Lead and support continuous improvement, provide direction, training, and guidance to assigned employees.

Roles

Must lead packaging team members to package product with adherence to Quality Management System.

Position Responsibilities
• Provides work direction, training, and guidance to assigned personnel in order to ensure full understanding of, and compliance with, prescribed methods and procedures.
• Monitors work quality and productivity throughout assigned area to ensure quality products are produced within established guidelines and time frame. Reports problems to management as appropriate.
• Works closely with Engineering in developing packaging requirements for first time job orders; attends first time job meetings as requested.
• Provides problem solving support, clarification of process performance requirements, and ensures assigned personnel are adequately prepared and have the necessary tools to successfully complete assigned tasks as directed.
• Schedules work for area of responsibility and, if assigned, ensures time and attendance records for assigned personnel are completed and updated as required.
• Recommends and implements approved methods, procedures and suggestions to improve productivity throughout assigned area.
• Update data changes in Syteline as required.
• Assist with departmental inventory review and provide support to Purchasing with ordering packaging supplies.
• Works closely with Inspection and Quality personnel to ensure all certs are performed to specifications.
• Communicates company objectives and goals with a positive attitude.
• Ensures assigned area is maintained in a clean and orderly condition. Works safely, complies with safety rules, and promotes safe work practices to assigned employees.
• Advises management of machinery, equipment, and supplies that require repair; or when the addition of, would materially improve organizational effectiveness.
• Keeps management informed of important developments, potential problems, and related information necessary for effective management.
• Performs related work as apparent or assigned.

Education, Experience & Skills

• High school education or equivalent required
• Must have working command of the English language and effective communications skills both verbal and written
• Demonstrated examples of leadership ability and problem solving skills
• Ability to verify the quality of work throughout assigned area
• Capable of influencing others in a confident, positive, and results oriented manner
• Ability to understand and convey mathematical concepts
• Ability to work accurately with numbers and details
• Demonstrated experience with ERP or similar system

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $44,500- 55,700 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
