TE Connectivity's Supplier Development Teams find and develop suppliers to support the strategic sourcing organization in driving incremental performance in supplier quality, delivery, price and service. They teach new suppliers on how to work with TE (portal access, e-procurement tool usage, TE procedures, etc.). They extend TE Operational Advantage into the supply base to generate continuous improvement in the extended value stream, deliver incremental improvements through supplier development lead projects and achieve improvement targets specific for supplier development. They also help drive selection and development of the best total cost supply option in the region where the commodity or service is consumed. They keep abreast of emerging market options and inform the broader procurement organization of trends and new supply options.

Job description:

  • Lead a Supplier Quality Team
  • Train the team, lead and control departments goals, regular team meetings and CMS reviews
  • Drive process improvements internally and across departments within the business unit (EMEA wide)
  • Develop new suppliers and existing suppliers
  • Assess, mitigate, manage risk of suppliers
  • Drive improvement actions at suppliers and coordinate TE activities across departments for Quality, Delivery, and Service performance
  • Plan and execute external system and process audits
  • Resolve customer and TE supplier complaints: Technical and quality support together with the plants
  • Control and follow-through action items of the supplier together with the team
  • Meet the yearly TEOAP goals and KPI's
  • Have the competence to stop production or shipping in case of any doubt of non-compliance with quality rules in the production process and the quality of manufactured pieces.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in a similar role
  • Experience in quality management within the automotive industry
  • Strong technical background, solid commercial experience
  • University degree in engineering or Technical professional education in relevant area preferred
  • Fluency in English language in speaking and writing
  • Driving license B
  • Technical background of molding, stamping and/or assembly processes (other direct material) strongly preferred
