Job Overview

The Global Transition Manager will lead and manage the transition of procurement processes and operations from external supplier to in-house capabilities and the shift of certain tasks from one area to another across the globe. This role is critical in ensuring a seamless transition, optimizing procurement strategies, and enhancing operational efficiency on a global scale. The position will also lead and guide the work performed across 4 different locations around the world and provide reporting as required.

Transition Planning and Execution:
o Develop and implement comprehensive transition plans for insourcing procurement activities.
o Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and smooth transition processes.
o Monitor and report on transition progress, addressing any issues or delays promptly.

Stakeholder Management:
o Engage with key stakeholders to understand requirements and expectations.
o Communicate transition plans and progress effectively to all relevant parties.
o Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and the external supplier.
• Process Optimization:
o Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings within the procurement function.
o Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance procurement efficiency.
o Ensure compliance with global procurement policies and standards.

• Risk Management:
o Assess and mitigate risks associated with the transition process.
o Develop contingency plans to address potential challenges and disruptions.
o Ensure business continuity throughout the transition period.
• Performance Measurement:
o Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of the transition.
o Conduct regular reviews and assessments to ensure objectives are met.
o Provide detailed reports and analysis to senior management.

• Budget Management & Reporting:
o Manage assigned budget the best way possible.
o Pro-actively inform Leadership on any new/change of budget requirements.
o Ability to make recommendations and prioritize scope items in an effective manner.

The successful candidate will be the transition program manager and be responsible for driving and managing project teams and to ensure that high complexity and high priority scope items are delivered on-time, on-scope, and on-target.

He/she will also be charged with managing or driving certain major scope items personally.

Typical scope items for this program: knowledge transfer from existing to newly hired resources, SOP documentation, KT effectiveness control and correction, hiring on new resources, resource planning & deployment, exit strategy execution, back-up plans definitions and executions.

This person will play a key role in insourcing key operations and help re-organize existing internal operations.

Qualifications:

The Global Transition Manager is expected to:
• Manage the Global Program in-scope;
• Create and organize Program Governance and Transition Plan;
• Articulate all activities in-scope, define timeline and owner for each;
• Prepare and submit reporting as per required format;
• Organize and facilitate meetings, prepare agenda, and document outcomes accordingly;
• Ensures relevant team members are properly directed;
• Flags issues ahead of time and report them accordingly;
• Support management with project dashboards (financials, milestones, resource);
• Escalate issues as per pre-agreed criteria's and structure;
• Recommend best way forward.

Qualifications:
• Senior Experience in Program Management (10+ years)
• Six Sigma Black-Belt, PMI certified or equivalent
• Proficient in MS office; advanced Excel, Power point and other relevant tools for the function
• Microsoft Project
• Excellent communication skills. English language skills in speech and writing
• Ability to speak persuasively in front of a large audience which may include management to the executive level
• Proven ability as a project leader with experience managing large-scale transition projects, preferably in a global context
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Desired, not compulsory: strong understanding of procurement processes, insourcing strategies, and supply chain management.
